Johannes Kepler Astrological Works and Russian Academy of Sciences

Kepler’s Scientific Archives were bought by Tzarina Katherine the Great and now are kept in the Archives of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Besides astronomical papers Kepler’s Archives contain around 1000 horoscopes and astrological works. Russian academicians were influenced a lot by scientific and astrological ideas of Kepler and in the 20th century this influence gave birth to a new scientific field called heliobiology. Heliobiology was invented by an outstanding Russian scientist Alexandr Tchizhevsky and studies interconnection between Solar activity and events on Earth: biological, medical and historical.
