What do Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Michael Hutchence, Prince, James Dean and Kurt Cobain have in common in astrological terms? At first glance, not much. However, a look at their natal charts through the prism of fixed stars reveals a very different story.

Fixed stars are an all too often overlooked topic in astrology, although Ptolemy was aware of their influence as early as the 2nd century AD. In his work Almagest, he listed 48 constellations and more than 1,000 stars. The names by which he named the constellations have survived to this day. He also attributed planetary influences to the stars and constellations, thus laying the foundation for their astrological interpretation.

The fixed stars add a new dimension to the interpretation of the natal chart that cannot be described by planetary symbolism alone. Each constellation tells its own mythological story. The story we connect with through the planets in our personal horoscope roughly represents our life path, translated of course into the language of modern times.

Using natal charts of prominent personalities, I will show you how you can describe their life path with fixed stars.

Dubravka Oberžan

ISAR certified professional astrologer and astroHealing therapist, certified energy astrology consultant and certified Intuitive @ Success Coach. She has been a member of ISAR since 2018 and ISAR Global Director for Slovenia since September 2021. Dubravka graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences (University of Ljubljana) with a BSc. in Mining Engineering and later acquired a specialization in Management (MBA) at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. Her professional career spans more than 30 years and includes mining engineering, followed by many years in senior positions in public administration and telecommunications. More recently, she attended and graduated from Johannes Kepler Institute, Belgrade in Astrology and AstroHealing Therapy. Since 2014 she has been working as a professional consultant astrologer in Ljubljana, Slovenia, offering both astrological and AstroHealing consultations in Slovenian, English and Serbian / Croatian (also available via Zoom or Skype). My astrological practice is based on astrological consultations and can be combined with various energy work techniques, such as energy astrology and AstroHealing, with biotherapy and intuitive coaching. Special areas of interest and research are Energy Astrology and AstroHealing, Karmic Astrology, Fixed Stars and Mundane Astrology, and has developed training programmes, workshops and courses on these topics.
