The Higher Institute for Astrological Studies (Instituto Superior de Astrología I.S.A.A.) curriculum is structured on a four-year program basis. The students attend weekly classes plus a full-day workshop practice each month. The Institute´s study program covers a total of 524+ hours distributed in three years of astrological education plus one year of counseling training and specialization in Elective, Synastry and Psychophysical Astrology.
The Institute offers the two modalities: regular and correspondence. As of 2021, the regular classes are virtual online through the Zoom platform with alternate face-to-face sessions throughout the year to complete an intensive practice, respecting the protocols. Classes are held from March to December inclusive for a total of 38 school weeks.
During their formation the students must do regular homework assignments, attend extra-curricular conferences and submit a full chart delineation accordingly at year end. As the Institute follows the phenomenological psychological approach, students must take a final examination as a method of self-evaluation. By the end of the fourth year, a final Consulting Skills Training and evaluation is mandatory. In addition, the students must submit a research paper.
Upon graduation, the Institute grants the “Diploma for Professional Astrologer”. Graduates may then apply for the international ISAR’s Certified Astrological Professional Diploma (C.A.P.).
Optional electives: Evolutionary and Karmic Astrology; Draconic Chart and Nodal Chart; Astrogenealogy; Medical and Psychophysical Astrology; Archetypes and Mythology; Predictive; Fixed Stars and Asteroids; Mundane; The Role of the Astrologer. Tarot with astrological orientation and Numerology with a mythological and humanistic approach.
The Institute organizes a bi-annual international conference.
